If an LDAP update has a status of "detained" or "application error," you can change it in order to resolve the problem and apply the data to MiVoice Business. Note that this change only applies to MiVoice Business. If you want to make a permanent, system-wide change, you must update the data on the directory server in addition to MiVoice Business.
NOTE: You cannot change updates with a status of "pending" or "blocked". The system processes these items automatically.
To change LDAP update records from the MiVoice Business contact point:
Go to the IDS
Data Management form.
The total number of LDAP updates is given in the top right-hand corner of the form.
Use the screen tools to locate the update record you wish to change. For details, see Viewing IDS Data Updates.
Click the check box next to the update record.
NOTES
You cannot select records with the following status types: pending and blocked.
You can only change one record at a time.
Click Change, and then click OK to confirm that you want to change the update record.
The IDS Data Management Change dialog opens.
Change one or more of the following fields:
Department: user's department within the enterprise
Location: user's geographic location
Role: role that links to a User and Service Template; if no role is provided, the default template is used
Language: user's language
Email: user's email address.
Directory Number: the directory number of the record.
Home Element: the MiVoice Business system that hosts the user's DN.
Secondary Element: the MiVoice Business system that provides resiliency for the user's DN.
Click Save to save the changes.
The status of the record becomes "detained" (regardless whether the original status was "application error" or "detained.")
To apply the change, see Applying Updates.
